Networking and Internships

Networking is crucial in the commercial world. CMC works closely with corporate partners from different industries to organise company visits, industry sharing and recruitment talks. Students can interact and exchange ideas with prominent practitioners to get a deeper understanding on what kind of talent employers are looking for.
International Career Treks
Supported by CMC, international career treks are great opportunities to explore potential career opportunities globally by visiting local corporates and meeting prospective employers. In the past few years, we visited places such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Singapore, as well as multinational companies including Apple, DHL, Lynk Global, Microsoft and Sia Partners.
Career Fair
The annual Career Fair connects recruiters with students. Students can receive up-to-date market information and also gain access to internships and full-time employment opportunities from a diverse group of recruiting firms and organisations. During the Fair, they can also improve their CV writing and interview techniques by attending consultation sessions and workshops.
On November 11, 2022, over 200 industry leaders and representatives from nearly 50 leading corporations in the Greater Bay Area participated in the event. They offered more than 170 full-time jobs and internship vacancies, including opportunities from local and overseas companies as well as startups. Career talks and industry-sharing sessions were conducted during the Fair, allowing students to learn about industry trends and gain insights from senior leaders. The CV Clinic sessions also helped students enhance their CVs and better prepare for job interviews.
Internships Opportunities
Internship provides students with opportunities to gain valuable on-the-job training and an in-depth understanding of different industries before graduation. Students can gain business knowledge and first-hand industry experience relevant to their field of study. Such exposure can enrich their profiles and immerse themselves in their chosen fields. Successful internship experiences may also open up future career prospects.
