Entry requirements

  • A recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline (second-class honours / B grade or above) or equivalent professional qualifi­cation.

  • GMAT/GRE scores and work experience are NOT required, but a good GMAT/GRE score or proof(s) of work experience can be helpful for marginal cases.
  • In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, applicants should have taken and passed at least one university-level course in either calculus, probability, statistics, or an approved equivalent course.

Please note:

  • You should apply directly for the MSc in ASI programme via the Online Admission System.
  • If your application is not selected in one round, we will reassess it in subsequent rounds until admissions close.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.
  • If your application is successful, we will send you an offer letter via email. If you do not hear from us by approximately two months after the application deadline, you may consider your application unsuccessful. We do not accept email or telephone enquiries about admission results.

Application will be processed on a rolling basis until all places fill up. Therefore, early applications are strongly encouraged. The application deadline may be closed early if places are no longer available. The subsequent applications received may not be considered.


Application fee

You will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of HK$400, which can be paid by credit card through the Online Application System.

Tuition fees

The tuition fee for the academic year 2024/25 is: HK$330,000.

Tuition can be paid in three instalments:

  1. HK$110,000 (deposit) within two weeks of confirming your offer
  2. HK$110,000 at the beginning of the second trimester
  3. HK$110,000 at the beginning of the third trimester

We offer various scholarship opportunities each year to outstanding candidates based on academic achievements and personal accomplishments.

Admission scholarship
Newly admitted students with outstanding entrance qualifications are eligible for this scholarship, which is awarded based on their academic achievements, interview performance, relevant professional experiences, personal qualities, and/or other outstanding merits.

Academic Performance Prize
This prize recognises top-achieving students of the programme. It will be awarded to the top 3 students attaining a final cumulative GPA of 3.6 or above upon the completion of the programme.

Government’s Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)
Students who have right of abode in Hong Kong or have lived in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years immediately before the start of their year of study may apply for the Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS).
